Job description:
|
The primary function of this position is to support sales and installation of commercial grid-tied turnkey projects including (1) project management, including budgetary and scheduling responsibility; (2) project engineering services, including site survey, system sizing, design, documentation, testing and installation supervision, as required; (3) technical sales support to SunWize customers, sales and marketing staff in the development of quotations, sales proposals and product offerings; and, (4) value engineering for SunWize products and customer orders . The position will represent the company and must present a professional image to customers, vendors and associates of the company.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Project Engineering and Project Management:
• system technical design and components specification
• bills of material preparation and maintenance
• materials procurement and vendor oversight
• production planning and supervision
• quality control, testing and system commissioning
• utility net metering agreements and utility inspections
• manage remote performance monitoring and reporting system technology
• documentation preparation and coordination (manuals and drawings)
• customer interface
• budget and schedule preparation and management
• consultant and subcontractor management
• installation planning and supervision
• customer training
• cost reporting, invoicing and accounting
• shipping planning and coordination
• maintenance planning and after-warranty support
• logistics, scheduling and budgeting knowledge
• writing and engineering drafting skills
• contractual language familiarity and basic accounting skills
• familiarity with test equipment, tools and methods
• electromechanical design engineering abilities
• data acquisition and remote monitoring hardware and software knowledge
• work with external customers and internal colleagues to obtain optimal technical solutions, and meet schedule requirements
• negotiate contracts with outside vendors for the supply of materials and services
• communicate and effectively negotiate with customers and vendors under adverse and stressful circumstances, including contract disputes and change orders
• clearly communicate installation, operation and troubleshooting methods in system documentation and customer training |
